Tristan and Isolde get some fresh air, put their books aside, and step out onto the street.
In a laundry room filled with machines, dirty laundry, and unfulfilled passions, the myth is reenacted with panache.
With *La Remuée #3 – Yseult and Tristan*, *Le Punk à Mouton* continues its work in popular outdoor theater: bringing the great classics out of the libraries to make them come alive, funny, and biting. With a cast of three, the company traces the story of the star-crossed lovers—from the love potion to King Mark, from schemes to betrayals—all through the eyes of Brangien, the perceptive maid and privileged witness to the chaos of love. Washing machines become a medieval set, laundry replaces innuendo, and burlesque reveals the story’s modernity. A lively and joyfully offbeat reinterpretation that speaks to desire, freedom, and women who refuse to stay in their place.
