Young public - 11th "Partir en Livre" in La Seyne sur Mer's media libraries

The 11th edition of Partir en livre, "Animals and us", organized by the CNL and the French Ministry of Culture, will be reaching out to young audiences. In La Seyne, the media libraries are offering a program entitled "animalement vôtre" ("animally yours").

On the program:

Mornings on June 26 and 27:
School special - 250 CP/CE1 pupils will take advantage of Mathias Friman's presence to create frescoes based on his children's album "Une bouteille dans l'océan" ("A bottle in the ocean").
Parc de la Navale.

June 24 to August 29, 8:30 am to 7 pm:
Les Sablettes beach library.

Wednesday June 25 at 10:30 am:
Mathias' fitting room - Children can try out Mathias Friman's books and meet him on June 28.

Saturday June 28:
Illustration workshops with Mathias Friman (ages 6 and up - registration required)
10:30 am: Médiathèque Andrée - Chedid
2pm: Médiathèque Pierre - Caminade
A 16h : Médiathèque Le Clos St - Louis
and at 5pm: book signing with the Charlemagne bookshop.

Wednesday, July 2 :
Furry and feathery fitting room - Children can try out books... and borrow them!
9:30 am: Under 5s
10:30 am: Over 5s

Tuesday, July 8 at 10 a.m. :
Scientific workshop on marine biodiversity by the Planète Sciences association (+ 6 years - registration required).

Wednesday, July 9 7:30pm :
10:30 am: Scales and fins fitting room - Children can try out books... and borrow them! ( + 5 years).
7:30 pm: Tapis de lecture iodé - Immersive, animated readings about marine animals (under 5, registration required).

Wednesday, July 16 :
10 a.m.: Encounter - Workshop with Carine Prache, author and illustrator for young people (+ 7 years, registration required).

Letter to the neighbors above" writing competition: "Imagine the message a sea animal could send to mankind".
Postcard format/short, illustrated text/3 categories: 6-8 years / 9-11 years / 12-15 years / Materials, inspiration and rules available in your media libraries from June 18. Submission of cards before Friday, July 11, 2025 in your media libraries.
