A wheel that draws, colors that appear, a body that traces the space. TRAIT(s) transforms the circus into a graphic landscape and invites young children to enter a world of shapes and sensations.
In the center of the stage, a circus artist moves around a Cyr wheel that has become a drawing tool. With each movement, lines emerge, traces intersect, and colors burst forth. Inspired by the worlds of Joan Miró and Wassily Kandinsky, TRAIT(s) blends circus, visual arts, and live music into a visual experience designed for children ages 3 and up.
Acrobatic movements become a form of writing, painting accompanies the body’s movements, and the space gradually transforms into a living work of art. In a circular setup that brings the audience right up close, the SCoM company presents a sensory performance where shapes take form before the audience’s eyes. Blending abstraction, play, and poetry, TRAIT(s) creates a space of wonder accessible to both young children and adults, celebrating creativity, movement, and the freedom to imagine.
Alongside the TRAIT(s) performance, discover the exhibition *Maintenant le cirque!*, conceived by the SCoM company in collaboration with illustrator Kämy Dobi and several guest artists.
