Wine-lees painting: introductory workshop

Free painting workshop using wine lees on Gigaro Beach. Discover winemaking from a new perspective by painting with lees from local vineyards, followed by a tasting of their wines. Open to everyone of all skill levels; materials provided.

Come and enjoy a creative, sociable, and unique experience on the stunning Gigaro Beach! We invite you to a free workshop where you can paint the landscape of Port-Cros National Park, the beach, or scenes from your imagination—using a truly unusual medium: wine lees! These natural deposits—rich in color and texture—come from the vats of La Croix-Valmer’s wine estates and will serve as your paints for an extraordinary artistic session.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop is for you! All materials are provided (paper, brushes, lees, etc.), though you are welcome to bring your own tools. You can follow our guidance or simply let your creativity run free.
To top it all off, Sonia Ferchaud (Beyond the Wine) will host a tasting of wines from the estates that supplied the lees, allowing you to discover the very wines that inspired your artwork.

The goal? To explore winemaking from a fresh perspective, have fun, and take home a unique painting—all while celebrating the vineyards of La Croix-Valmer. It is a playful, sensory experience open to everyone, blending art, nature, and the pleasure of wine.
