Presentation

In 1990, convinced of the potential to produce great wines in Provence, two Burgundian friends and winemakers from prestigious estates, Jacques Seysses (Domaine Dujac) and Aubert de Villaine, joined forces with Michel Macaux (a Parisian financier) and invested in the former Logis de Nans in Nans les Pins. The estate was renamed Domaine de Triennes, after Triennia, a Roman festival held every three years in honor of Bacchus. The prefix "tri" also refers to the 3 friends.

From the outset, the owners, with their builder's spirit, have been committed to the constant, dynamic evolution of Triennes. From research into new technologies to the creation of new infrastructures, each project is designed to improve our production and reduce our environmental impact.

Particular attention is paid to the vines and their cultivation. This is reflected in our organic farming practices since 2011. More generally, we aim to preserve, reintegrate and develop biodiversity on the estate.

The 46 hectares of the Triennes estate are situated at an altitude of 420 meters above sea level and back onto Mont Aurélien, facing the Massif de la Sainte-Baume. This location ensures cool nights, favoring a long vegetative cycle for the vines. These conditions are particularly ideal for achieving low yields, good acidity and truly complex wines.

Our winemaking, with its targeted, moderate interventions, favors the expression of terroir and grape variety.

We make our wines as we like to drink them.
For whites, fruity and aromatic (Viognier), balanced by its freshness and volume (Les Auréliens).

For reds, elegant and structured: the right harmony between fruitiness and character.
For rosé, Mediterranean authenticity: a lively, gourmet pleasure.
