Presentation

What better way to discover the Verdon than by bike? The Tour du Verdon by bike invites you to explore the Verdon and its rich heritage. Take your time and get away from it all on the picturesque back roads, to experience the authenticity of a multi-faceted region.

Between Gréoux-les-Bains and Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon, discover breathtaking views over the Esparron lake and its steep banks, take refuge in one of the small creeks scattered here and there and meander along the lower gorges.

On the Valensole plateau, take in the fragrant air of the blue and golden fields and gaze out over the Sainte-Croix lake and the Alpine ranges in the distance.

The tour also takes you over the not-to-be-missed Verdon Gorges via the Corniche Sublime road (left bank), spectacularly overlooking the course of the emerald Verdon.

On the other side of the gorges, the Artuby river awaits you. Ride from village to village through this hilly, man-made landscape of forests and pastoral meadows.

The tour ventures south of the Verdon, into the Haut-Var. The hilltop villages, linked by picturesque back roads, plunge you into the Provençal countryside. A real invitation to discover all the flavours of this region, home of olive oil and truffles.

Extend your stay and take advantage of the link to Saint-André-les-Alpes, a stop on the Train des Pignes. You'll have the chance to ride along the Castillon and Chaudanne lakes and stop off at Castellane, in the heart of the Middle Verdon.

The Verdon is waiting for you, so pack your saddlebags and saddle up for an unforgettable experience!

Recommended period: Take the tour outside the summer season, from March to June and from September to mid-November. In summer, road traffic is very busy, making certain parts dangerous. Adjust your timetable (before 9 a.m. or after 6 p.m.) to ensure you set off in the fresh air.
