Le Cabinet de Curiosités, the company-in-residence, presents its latest production: Feydeau’s “Le système Ribadier.”

Ever since Angèle discovered a notebook in which her late first husband meticulously recorded his conquests and the schemes he used to cheat on her, she has suffered from an unhealthy jealousy toward her second husband, Ribadier, who endures her accusations on a daily basis.

But Ribadier has a special and infallible talent that makes him above suspicion: whenever he wants to meet one of his mistresses, he uses his skills as a hypnotist to put his wife to sleep; when she wakes up, she never realizes a thing.

Until the day Ribadier reveals his “system” to his friend Aristide Thommereux. Aristide has just returned from exile in Batavia, where he had been trying to forget his secret love for Angèle. Upon learning of Ribadier’s secret method, he will try to turn it to his own advantage…
