The Ridiculous Rich

*Les Précieuses ridicules* is a one-act comedy in prose by Molière.

La Grange and Du Croisy, two gentlemen, are introduced to Madelon and Cathos, the daughter and niece of a provincial bourgeois named Mr. Gorgibus. The old man is trying to find husbands for his female relatives, but they long for grand romances and rudely reject the two suitors, who decide to take revenge.
