Symposium: "Nose in the archives, head in the stars".

This year, HPS presents the research carried out by its members over the last few years. There is no unifying theme, other than our work, our curiosity and our interest in a particular moment in history.

And, lifting our noses from the archives, we'll let Club Antarès take the floor for a discovery (or re-discovery) of the La Seyne astrophysics observatory.

8:45 am: Welcome
9:30am: "Losing your life to earn it". Accidents at the Seyne shipyards in the 1970s. First contributions. Yolande Le Gallo.
10:45am: Un impératif à La Libération, le déminage du littoral varois de St Raphaël à St Cyr en passant par La Seyne. Jacqueline Viollet-Repetto.
2:30 pm: Connaître La Seyne, discovering the city through its neighborhoods. Collective project to publish a simplified history, aimed at schoolchildren, high-school students and new and old Seynois. Project presented by Françoise Manaranche and Larck Maack.

Marie-Paule François will talk about the "Saint-Mandrier district", the long march towards separation from La Seyne, and its recognition as a distinct town.
4pm: Club Antarés: head in the stars, heart in La Seyne. Chronicle of the observatory: over 60 years of shared astronomy, between passion, transmission and discovery of the universe. Frédéric Capolino, Rosita Ravet.
