Camille’s story is the story of our twenties, of a neighborhood, of a generation. It’s the story of two friends who want to make music. It’s a story of disillusionment. Of a life spent in a whirlwind of alcohol and drugs. Of a new family—one fraught with danger. Camille’s story is an ordinary one. One actress, playing 17 characters, who flits between punk comedy and poetry to remind us that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, blah blah blah… Anyway. Life is hard, but the most important thing is to never stop believing in it. Camille may never be Shakira, but she’ll be Camille. And that’s already good enough.
