Quatuor cordes et flûte

This concert offers an intimate dialogue between two major figures of the classical repertoire: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Sebastian Bach.

Mozart's quartets with flute, written for a small, warm ensemble in which the
flute blends delicately with the strings, reveal Mozart's artistry in terms of clarity, balance, and lightness.

Echoing this, a version for string trio of Bach's Goldberg Variations—a daring transposition of a keyboard masterpiece to a string ensemble—offers a rediscovery of this monumental work in a new light, full of renewed nuances and textures.
