Portissol Beach

Portissol Beach is one of the town’s beaches and the most sought-after by both locals and tourists. A sandy beach stretching 200 meters, it features a lifeguard station and restroom facilities (adapted for people with reduced mobility).

It enjoys a beautiful setting and has three restaurants around its bay.

There is a parking area above the beach, as well as access for people with reduced mobility.

The beach is equipped with facilities that allow people with various disabilities to enjoy the pleasures of the seaside and swimming.

These include reserved parking spaces, access mats leading into the sea, amphibious wheelchairs (Tiralo and Hippocampe), as well as adapted showers and toilets available to them.
It is also worth noting the presence of “handiplagists,” meaning staff trained to assist and welcome people with disabilities.

These facilities are available from April to September, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (only when the green flag is displayed).

In July and August, Portissol Beach hosts an underwater trail.

Swimming is supervised by certified lifeguards (BNSSA), assisted by first-aid responders (PSE2):

From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on public holidays and weekends in May, at Dorée/Lido Beach, Gorguette Beach, and Portissol Beach.
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day from June 1 to August 31, on all beaches.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day from September 1 to September 30, on all beaches.

Outside of these supervised periods and hours, swimming is at your own risk.

During the municipal council meeting of February 25, 2015, the municipality committed to certifying the quality management of bathing water in order to guarantee safe sanitary conditions for beach users.
Since the first audit conducted in July 2015, this certification has been maintained through annual audits carried out by an independent inspection body.
