Pignans is a little village in the plains of the Inland Var area, set against the backdrop of the Maures Hills, offering splendid vistas and endless walking possibilities. The village is overlooked by Notre Dames des Anges chapel, perched at an altitude of 780 metres and offering stunning views over Giens peninsula and the Golden Islands.
Pignans was formerly a thriving industrial town, manufacturing paper, copper hammers, corks and home to flour and oil mills. Its winding streets spanned by ancient arches still stand witness to its prestigious past.
