Presentation

Exhibition curated by Caroline Gauguery “What is born, grows, transforms, and comes into being”: this exhibition reflects the movements of the life within us.
ΦΥΣΙ Σ
PHYSIS, as “that which is born, develops, transforms, and comes into being”
Freely inspired by Pierre Hadot’s reflections on the concept of phusis among the presocratic philosophers, this exhibition presents various aspects of the movements of the living beings that we are, making life—along with all its transitions—the preeminent work of art.

For 25 years, Caroline Gauguery has been exploring phusis through color and movement. In the intimacy of her studio, the initiatory journey from shadow to light is a perpetual inquiry, directly shaping the metamorphosis of her pictorial expression.

Her artistic performances bear witness to and reinforce this vital impulse as she brings a painting to life during a musical concert, in real time: she experiences that nothing is invented; everything is found through resonance with her deepest self.

The PHYSIS exhibition poses this fundamental question: How can we remain connected to the essence of all things when everything is transforming and accelerating?
In what is to come and what is, TO SEE BIRTH.
