Performance: Stans (dance)

Ana Pérez and José Sanchez present STANS, a spellbinding musical and choreographic exploration—a first attempt at reinterpreting the Stabat Mater.

STANS, meaning “stand” in Latin, reimagines this medieval poem—which evokes the anguish of a woman frozen in grief over the loss of her child—with resilient strength. On stage, the flamenco dancer and the theorbo player form an intimate and magnetic duo.

STANS is an invitation to immerse yourself in a world steeped in beauty and mystery, where emotion takes shape in every note and every movement.
