This listed site by the sea since 1937 is known to many painters who have described the charms of this pine forest, including the most famous: Stany Sassy, Paulin Bertrand, Louis Gaidan, Vincent Courdouan, Jean-Louis Carle...
The site is still a paradise for bowlers and walkers, who in summer enjoy the shade provided by the splendid Aleppo pines. It's not easy to put an age on these trees, but their life expectancy is around 150 years. It's likely that the pines, already supported in 1917, have disappeared, as evidenced by some old postcards.
In any case, some of them are undoubtedly over a hundred years old...
In fine weather, the pine grove is sometimes used by the Union Philharmonique, or in the evenings for themed gourmet meals.
