An 18th century oil mill and the remains of a Gallo-Roman press can be discovered thanks to two interpretation panels in the heart of the Olive Garden.
At the foot of olive trees 4 to 5 times centenary, discover an oil mill restored in 2021 as well as two archaeological remains of olive growing thanks to interpretation panels. These are a counterweight and a sandstone base block, elements of a lever press dated between the 1st and 2nd centuries. This technique of obtaining oil is presented along with other elements of oil mills discovered in the commune, testifying to this production from Antiquity.
The blood mill, dated 1787, with its hydraulic origin, also allows us to evoke these more modern extraction processes and to talk about the importance of olive growing on our territory.
