Mountain biking and walking : La Maurin des Maures

A family sporting event not to be missed in April 2027 in La Londe les Maures!

Winding through vineyards and hills, families with children as well as seasoned mountain bikers will be able to admire the springtime beauty of our countryside and soak up the scents of the many tree species that fill the air in our Mediterranean forest.


Following in the footsteps of Maurin des Maures, the fictional hero of the Provençal poet Jean-Aicard, participants can take part in this nature ride in La Londe-les-Maures.



The 2027 programme is currently being finalised; a look back at the 2026 event:


For the 2026 edition, the ride is open to all mountain bikes, including those with electric assistance, with:

6 mountain bike and e-MTB routes: 8, 15, 18, 30, 43 and 54 km
2 walking routes: 9 and 12 km



Start and finish: Espace Nature La Brûlade from 7.30 am to 9.30 am depending on the route.


• For families and beginners (accompanied by a parent):

8 km – 90 m elevation gain and 15 km – 120 m elevation gain: Supervised routes (children must be accompanied by a parent)


• For occasional cyclists:

18 km – 280 m elevation gain: On smooth, rolling trails.



• For regular cyclists and the more experienced: 3 types of route:
30 km – 600 m elevation gain: for riders who want to cycle without too much technical difficulty.

43 km – 1,200 m elevation gain: for experienced mountain bikers.
54 km – 1,620 m elevation gain: for the most seasoned mountain bikers.



• Two walking tours are also organised and led by the Randonneurs Londais, setting off from La Brûlade:

9 km – 3 hours: Family walk, no major difficulties

12 km – 4 hours: Family walk, no major difficulties

Walking boots compulsory and suitable clothing required.



At 12.30 pm: Prize-giving ceremony and giant anchoïade.



Every participant will receive one gift.
