Presentation

The Fauverie du Mont Faron is not a conventional zoo, but a carnivore breeding center specializing in felines that are critically endangered: tigers, lions, leopards, jaguars, ocelots, servals, caracals, lynx, Siberian cats, and marsh cats—as well as wolves, brown and striped hyenas, raccoons, and hamadryas baboons—await you for a visit lasting over an hour.

Special information for the summer season:
> In the event of a severe or extreme red fire risk, the road, the cable car, and the shops at Mont-Faron will be closed.
To check the wildfire risk level during the summer season (approximately June 15 to September 15), visit the Var Prefecture’s website:
https://www.var.gouv.fr/Actions-de-l-Etat/Foret/Fermeture-des-massifs-en-ete/Carte-d-acces-aux-massifs (information updated every evening for the following day).

> From July 1 through August 31, the Mont Faron road is closed to traffic starting at 9:00 p.m.
