Presentation

Taking the cable car (the only one on the Mediterranean coast) is surely the least strenuous but most picturesque way to enjoy the panoramic views of the Var region. Once at the top, a variety of activities await you: a visit to the D-Day Memorial in Provence, the bird sanctuary, hikes along marked trails, picnic areas… Two restaurants round out the experience.

Special information for the summer season:
> In the event of a severe or extreme red fire risk, the road, the cable car, and the shops at Mont-Faron will be closed.
To check the wildfire risk level during the summer (approximately June 15 to September 15), visit the Var Prefecture’s website:
https://www.var.gouv.fr/Actions-de-l-Etat/Foret/Fermeture-des-massifs-en-ete/Carte-d-acces-aux-massifs (information updated every evening for the following day).

> From July 1 through August 31, the Mont Faron road is closed to traffic starting at 9:00 p.m.
