Montmeyan

Built on a rocky spur at the exit to the Verdon Canyon, at the centre of a plain, this fortified village, aptly nicknamed “the mount in the middle”, climbs vigorously upwards to its church and ruined castle. Its narrow, deeply-embanked streets, vaulted passageways and stairways lend the village undeniable charm.
