Presentation
The Sainte-Croix lake is the last of the 5 artificial reservoirs built on the Verdon. Created in 1974, it will take more than a year to fill up.
This reservoir of water contributes to the supply of electricity and water to a good part of Provence.
You will find several shaded and landscaped beaches as well as wild lake banks (along the GR99) around Les Salles-sur-Verdon which will make you enjoy the emerald waters of the lake.
Nautical rentals are available here to enable you to discover this magical, protected site (internal combustion engines are prohibited) and/or to venture into the spectacular Grand Canyon.
Dogs aren't allowed on the beach.
A first-aid post is opened here in July and August and provides the beach with supervised bathing
