The beach of Lido is in the continuity of the Golden Beach. Both of them form the largest beach in Sanary.
You will find places along the Bandol road overlooking the beaches as well as a Stand Up Paddle rental company, which will allow you to walk on the water in complete peace and quiet.
After Portissol beach, the Lido was awarded the "Handiplage" label in June 2017. This development is intended to promote the integration of people with reduced mobility through leisure activities and the pleasures of the beach. The label is translated into concrete terms through adapted equipment:
- Installation of a reception point for people with disabilities
- Reserved and adapted parking spaces
- Water access mats
- Launching chairs (tiralo and hippocampus)
- Adapted showers and toilets
In addition, an agent from the first aid station is available to facilitate the launch. It should also be noted that "handiplagist" staff have received specific training to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
These facilities are in place from April to September , from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm (under green flag only)
At the municipal council meeting of 25 February 2015, the municipality undertook to certify the management of bathing water quality in order to guarantee the sanitary bathing conditions for beach users.
At the end of the first audit carried out in July 2015, confirmed by the 2016 audit, the Commune obtained its certification for the management of bathing water quality.
"The five bathing areas of Sanary-sur-Mer are regularly monitored from April to September by the Regional Health Agency (Official website: https://baignades.sante.gouv.fr/editorial/fr/accueil.html). The classification of the quality of a bathing water is defined on the basis of the results obtained over the last 4 years. »
