Marie Mauron (1896–1986) was a French writer from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence who was deeply attached to her region and its rural traditions.
She drew inspiration from peasant life and the landscapes of Provence to write novels and stories marked by simplicity and sensitivity.
She is now recognized as a major figure in Provençal regionalist literature.
