In tribute to Jean-Marie Gassend, architect-archaeologist, watercolorist and writer, who passed away in 2025, this exhibition-file invites you to rediscover the extraordinary voyage of Pytheas.
A Massalusian astronomer and explorer at heart, Pytheas was the first Mediterranean to cross the North Atlantic, beyond the frontiers of the known as far as Thule (Iceland). Jean-Marie Gassend's watercolors reveal his journey. Texts and visuals provided by Edikom.

From 01/04 to 08/06/2026 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm and between 2 pm and 5.30 pm. Weekends between 2 pm and 5.30 pm. Closed on Tuesday and bank holidays.
