As part of European Heritage Days, the Freinet Heritage Conservatory is offering a guided tour of the village and Fort Freinet for €2, as well as a tour of an apiary for €7 for adults and €5 for children. (Reservations required).

9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Tour of the village and Fort Freinet
This tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and includes a 45-minute walk along a sloping trail. Please wear appropriate footwear. (Suitable for adults)
Laurent Boudinot, heritage coordinator, invites you to explore the village of La Garde Freinet and the historic village of La Garde-Freinet, perched on a rocky outcrop (€2).
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Tour of the apiary, starting at 2:30 PM. Open to all ages.
Wearing a protective veil, step into the shoes of a beekeeper and enter the fascinating world of a beehive… a golden treasure lies hidden inside! Anna will introduce you to the hive’s structure, the life of bees, their roles, and the steps involved in producing delicious honey that you’ll have the pleasure of tasting. During this exploration, you’ll be introduced to the characters in this sweet saga: bees, flowers, as well as drones and other pollinators. You’ll learn how the beekeeper raises and cares for the colonies.
Dress code: pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes.
Special opening of the Musée du Conservatoire du Freinet on Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (free admission).
