Introduction to Gilding Workshop

The Atelier Carré d’Or offers introductory gilding workshops based on two themes: Christmas nativity scenes in the morning and animals in the afternoon. Discover a traditional craft in a workshop suitable for beginners, with all necessary materials provided on loan.

Discover the art of gilding with Atelier Carré d’Or during two creative workshop days on Sunday, 13 and 20 December 2026.

These workshops offer an introduction to a traditional craft, allowing you to learn the techniques used to enhance your creations with the beauty and brilliance of gilding. In a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, participants are guided through the process, with no previous experience required.

Two themes are available:

9:30 am – 11:30 am: Christmas Nativity Scenes
A workshop inspired by the magic of the festive season, offering an introduction to gilding through the traditional and poetic world of Christmas nativity scenes.

2:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Animals
A workshop dedicated to the animal world, exploring the decorative possibilities of gilding to bring elegance and brilliance to animal motifs.

All necessary materials are provided on loan during the workshop.
