International Film Music Festival: Film Concert "Fantasies on Walt Disney" - FiMé #20

For this new edition, L'Escale welcomes Jean-François Zygel. With his usual virtuosity and imagination, he takes us on a musical journey in the footsteps of Walt Disney.

From the earliest animated films to the iconic characters born of Disney’s artistic genius, from the studios’ extraordinary journey to the unforgettable musical themes that punctuate these animated masterpieces, Jean-François Zygel creates a magical and fascinating soundscape during this one-of-a-kind concert.
In this true “cinematic recital,” Jean-François Zygel uses his piano to recount the journey of the brilliant animator and director, from his childhood on a farm in Missouri to his early successes, through his years creating commercials and the founding of his studio. It’s an opportunity to rediscover the incredible inventiveness of his “Alice’s Wonderland” series or the adventures of the mischievous rabbit Oswald—that spirited character who preceded the famous Mickey Mouse.
A whole world whose boundless creativity is reflected in the ever-changing fantasy of the music composed live by Jean-François Zygel!
