This establishment is still much as it was in 1579, when Hubert de Vins lodged his train there while his incendiary companies set fire to the villages of La Martre and Châteauvieux, guilty of belonging to lords opposed to the Catholic League.
On March 3, 1815, Napoleon 1st stopped here to have lunch with Cambronne and Bertrand. Today, it houses the Bistrot de Pays® Entre Fréres, the offices of the Tourist Office and the Antenne France Services de la Martre.
