Presentation
The history of water and fountains in Hyères is closely linked to the town's historical past. The first water fountains were built to meet vital needs, such as watering animals or supplying local residents. At the end of the last century, new fountains were added to enhance the urban landscape. The most characteristic example is the fountains donated to the town by Alexis Godillot when he was seduced by Hyères and decided to urbanize the western part of the town.
More recent examples include the ludaquas in Place Clémenceau, Cité Administrative and Espace 3000.
