HIPPO Festival - CAMPVS

The construction of the Romanesque church in the early 13th century, its conversion into a collegiate church in the 17th century, the descent of the inhabitants to the plain in the 16th century, the decline of the old village from the 17th to the 19th centuries, and the military presence in the 20th century during the two world wars. Around twenty panels, organised by theme, provide a timeline from the founding of the hilltop village to the present day (military and tourist activities).

The goal: to share information and engage with the community about protecting the lagoon and restoring seagrass beds, so that the lagoon can once again serve as a nursery—and, above all, to reintroduce seahorses there! Local artists and artisans, exhibitions, games, activities, educational workshops, and performances will round out this fun-filled marine festival, which combines information and excitement! With the support of the city of Six-Fours, “Hippo-Campus” will be an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the state of the Mediterranean and discover initiatives aimed at “restoring” it.
