Guided Tours of the Machine Shop

Guided tours of the mechanical workshop in La Seyne-sur-Mer. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes; not recommended for children under 12 or people with mobility issues. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Built in 1906 to manufacture gigantic turbines, this workshop is one of the few remaining structures from the Chantiers de La Seyne shipyard.
Members of the CRCN (Shipbuilding Resource Center) association are currently working on a brochure dedicated to the history of this building, an icon of 20th-century industrial architecture, and will guide you through its eventful history.
