Immerse yourself in the heart of Earth's history and discover fascinating natural treasures at the Tourtour Fossil Museum. This unique museum, founded by the passionate amateur and paleontologist Victor Zaneboni, invites you to explore more than 1,000 fossils and rocks from the Upper-Var, witnesses of a distant past.
Victor Zaneboni, a marine carpenter by profession, devoted his life to botany and paleontology, accumulating an exceptional collection which he generously bequeathed to the town of Tourtour. Since then, the museum has been enriched thanks to new donations and acquisitions, offering visitors an immersion in the natural history of the region.
Let yourself be amazed by fascinating specimens, fossils of prehistoric animals and plants, and temporary exhibitions which reveal the richness of the Provençal and Var flora and fauna throughout the ages.
A real journey through time awaits you in this museum, where each piece tells a story from millions of years ago. A must-visit for nature, history and science enthusiasts!
