For Young Audiences - Show: "Quick, a Selfie!"

Paintbrushes, smartphones, songs, and colors: four performers reinvent the self-portrait right before our eyes and joyfully challenge our relationship with images and the digital world.

From their scaffolding set up on stage, four visual artists and performers paint, sing, take photographs, film, and transform a live stream of images into a visual and musical whirlwind. Their own portraits blend with those of the audience, captured on the spot and then reimagined, enlarged, projected, or reinvented in real time. In this age of compulsive selfies and digital identities, the Luc Amoros company explores—with humor and inventiveness—our relationship to our self-image… and the way we view others.

Blurring the lines between visual arts, theater, and music, *Vite, un selfie!* reveals the creative process in its entirety: from sketch to overflow, from intention to metamorphosis. Images captured, manipulated, and transformed become the living fabric of a performance where the portrait is collectively constructed before the audience’s eyes. Following *La Tortue de Gauguin*, which took place on the streets of Toulon in 2016, PÔLE is delighted to once again explore the rich and generous world of the Luc Amoros Company.
