Exhibition by Gilles Boudot

The art of misunderstanding Gilles Boudot plays at misleading the viewer about the image before him. In his various series, we find faux harbor landscapes and everyday objects that seem to be driven by invisible forces.

In the "Ustensiles" series, he playfully imitates Bernd and Hilla Becher's famous photos of industrial installations. The formal beauty of Gilles Boudot's images is matched by the jubilant pleasure experienced by viewers when they discover the stratagem employed by the artist. This is how he recently came up with the idea of reviving the ancestral pinhole technique, still practiced today by a few artists eager for adventurous experimentation.
In this series, entitled "20 seconds", naked figures whose features are no longer recognizable fascinate the viewer with their ghostly presence and the poetry that emanates from them.
