Presentation

Three generations of family history.
The Malard family has been rooted in the world of wine for 3 generations, and this passion, born in Champagne, has been passed down and perpetuated to this day. Guided by their love of the trade, they set themselves a new challenge in Provence.
In the 90s, Jean-Louis Malard developed his own Champagne wines. He quickly became one of the major players on the Champagne scene. A wine enthusiast and entrepreneur at heart, he is always on the lookout for new challenges.
Attached to this region and to the quality of the wines it produces, the acquisition of Domaine de La Maïonnette is the culmination of long research and painstaking work.

Domaine de La Maïonnette uses integrated viticulture methods. The vines are grown without the use of herbicides, in order to preserve biodiversity and living organisms as much as possible. The soil is worked mechanically using ploughs.
We use sheep to graze in our plots, thus avoiding tractor traffic, soil compaction and Co2 emissions.
Organic nitrogenous matter is transferred through the use of leguminous plants.
Soil structure is controlled by adding cereals and grasses such as barley and rye, whose roots limit soil erosion and runoff.
To help the vines develop in the best possible conditions, we use presle and nettle decoctions, which are sprayed on the vines and soils, providing a natural disinfectant thanks to their high silica content.
All this attention to the vines is reflected in the estate's cuvées.
