Presentation
Le Télégraphe invites you on a journey of sound in the colors of the African continent. Live percussion, hybrid rhythms and spellbinding DJ sets: let yourself be carried away by the magic of Spiritual Afro House evenings!
On the program:
> 6pm - 8pm: Jungle Afro
Jungle Afro is an artistic collective specializing in live shows combining African rhythms, stage performances and visual arts, in a festive, cultural and spectacular universe. The central figure of Jungle Afro is Simb, the emblematic lion, a real visual and symbolic attraction that leaves a lasting impression.
Originally, the dance of the false lion is a rite of possession, dating back to the days when Senegal was populated by wild animals. The story goes that the hunter who survived a lion attack would lose his head, roar... This is what awaits you at Le Télégraphe: a veritable ritual, celebrating the traditions of Senegal, with 3 sabar drums.
> 8pm - 11pm: Maf & Zry Jephté
Senegalese-born dance and percussion teacher Maf comes from a large family of musicians known as Sing Sing. A resident of Toulon since 2000, he will be accompanied by his djembe on this evening, promising a rhythmic journey for both body and mind.
DJ, producer and musician, Zry Jephté is an artist in his own right. His musical experiences as a pianist and keyboardist in a variety of formations (reggae, afro, dancehall, jazz...) have given his compositions and productions a unique color.
His universe is assertive, his charisma strong, and it's on stage that his generosity gives the full measure of his talent.
