Three autumn Sundays to celebrate in the heart of the Massif des Maures! Join us on Sundays 11, 18 and 25 October in Collobrières!
Every year in autumn, when the chestnuts are harvested, Collobrières becomes the chestnut capital of the Var. The Chestnut Festival, the village’s flagship event, returns for three festive Sundays on 11, 18 and 25 October 2026!
Craftspeople, producers, artists and local food enthusiasts will be gathering to introduce you to authentic skills, exceptional produce and living traditions, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Sunday 11th: Var Producers’ Day, a day dedicated to the very best our region has to offer. Locally sourced tastings of producers’ specialities, prepared by a chef.
Sunday 18th: International Day, featuring a parade of delegations from twinned towns, guilds, folk groups and Italian flag-wavers.
Sunday 25th: Farm Skills Day: meet the farm animals – pet them, feed them and take part in fun workshops – learn how to make your own butter or plant your own lettuces, and explore traditional farm trades.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Car parks are available at the village entrances (charge: €2 per vehicle).
- If you’re arriving from Pierrefeu-du-Var, La Londe-les-Maures or Bormes-les-Mimosas, shuttle buses will run from the West Car Park. A footpath leading from the car park will take you to the village.
- Vehicles and bicycles are prohibited from entering the village for the duration of the event.
- A dedicated bus car park is available on the west side of the village. Buses must book in advance with the town hall: 04 94 13 83 83.
- The car parks on the east and west sides are accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM)
- Motorhome parking: Car park opposite the stadium car park. There will be no access on the day of the event via the D39, D41 or the D14 Collobrières–Grimaud, so it is advisable to arrive the day before the event. On the day of the Chestnut Festival, it will not be possible to leave the motorhome area before 8.00 pm.
- Security checks are carried out at the village entrances (baggage searches and body searches).
- The use of pushchairs and the presence of animals (particularly dogs) is strongly discouraged.
- Please ensure you have sufficient fuel or battery power for your journeys. The petrol station will be closed from 7.30 am to 8 pm.
- Bring cash, as the village has only one cash machine.
OUR TIPS FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE:
To make the most of the event, it is best to choose either the first or third Sunday in October. We recommend arriving before 9.00 am and leaving before 3.00 pm to ensure a stress-free journey.
