Château Trians

A very old winegrowing estate, producing high-quality organic terroir wines in 3 colors: red, white and rosé in the Côteaux Varois appellation.

95% of our vineyards are planted with AOP Coteaux Varois en Provence, while the remaining 5% produce Vin de Pays de la Sainte Baume Blanc (Viognier).

Annual production enables us to market around 100,000 bottles, divided into 65% rosé, 25% red and 10% white.

Since 1990, Château Trians has been committed to respecting nature, using traditional growing methods, sustainable agriculture and limited yields to produce wines that fully express the characteristics of our terroir.

As early as 2008, the decision to switch to organic farming was an obvious extension of this philosophy, and since 2012, in line with the new rules for organic winemaking, our wines have been certified organic.

The special feature of the Trians terroir is its clay-limestone and stony "gravette" scree soil. Thanks to its north-northwest exposure and altitude of 320 meters, this terroir favors slow ripening of the grapes. The vines are protected from excessive heat and sun, which preserves the aromas and freshness of the grape varieties.

Our estate, traditionally a producer of red wines for laying down, sold after two or three years' ageing in oak tuns, is particularly renowned for its reds.

Now recognized for the quality of its wines in all 3 colors, thanks to the regularity of its medals won in the most prestigious wine competitions and its outstanding ratings in wine guides, Château Trians has become, over the decades, a sure bet in the Côteaux Varois appellation.

Our white and rosé wines stand out for their freshness, minerality and length on the palate all year round.

Our aromatic reds, with their silky tannins, evolve with panache over time.
