Situated at the heart of the Inland Var area, Carnoules is a former railway town. It still echoes to the sound of passengers waiting at the railway buffet for their train to set off in days not-so-long-ago, when people travelled mainly by rail.
Carnoules has maintained strong ties with the railway world and is now the departure point for the scenic train that winds gently through the Inland Var area, far from the traffic, on which visitors can discover the countryside stretching all the way to the town of Brignoles.
