Book Signing Event: Boris Martor

The Media Library invites you to discover Boris Martor’s novel *Insurgée - L’aube des égales*, which tells the story of a forgotten woman.

Some women simply pass through history. Suzanne, however, left her mark. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, a certified teacher, and in love with a man in exile who volunteered to fight in the Great War—her life could have ended there. But from segregationist America to Vichy France, she chose, time and again, the same side: that of freedom. Dismissed from her post. A member of the Resistance. Co-founder of the L’Insurgé movement in the Ain department. The author restores a name, a face, and a voice to an exceptional woman, placing her personal journey at the heart of the great upheavals of the 20th century. A biographical novel on the scale of a lifetime: intimate, romantic, and deeply moving. Boris Martor is a lawyer and writer with a passion for history. A family man, he is active in several organizations promoting equal opportunity. This event will be followed by a reception.
