Marx Dormoy was a political man, he was a representative of the socialism party and a senator. He became during the Popular Front the minister of the interior. He was also engaged in the struggle against fascism.
He was assassinated during the night of the 25th and the 26th of July 1941. He was cited at the Order of the Nation in 1946 and was posthum mously awarded of the Medal of the french resistance in 1947.
At the number 3 we can found the brieth house of Auguste Charlois (an astronomer). In the street, we can also see the clock build in 1551.
