Olivier GOURVIL born 1952 in Paris.

Lives and works in Paris, invited to artist residencies in Berlin, Rotterdam, Marseille, New York, Seoul, URDLA Lyon, ENSA Limoges... His work can be found in private and public collections (Frac, Fnac, Artothèques, BNF... ).
His paintings derive from a constant practice of drawing. The numerous preparatory drawings often bring together geometric constructions and biomorphic figures. The brightly colored, cut-out forms can evoke architectural or design templates. Antonia Birnbaum speaks of "residues of perspective, topological superimpositions, indistinguishable entanglements between corporeal figure and cut-out place".
He is represented by Galerie Larock-Granoff (Paris).
