A Conversation About Art at the Musée du Niel

Art historian Julie Verlaine will be presenting her book, published by Payot: *Les Héritières de l'art abstrait*. As a specialist in gender issues in art history, Julie Verlaine explores the remarkable careers of 20th-century artists.

Nina Delaunay, Nina Kandinsky, Nelly van Doesburg, and so many other women—widows and heirs of abstract artists—were visual artists or musicians themselves but wavered in their choices between preserving the legacy of their late partners’ works and pursuing their own creative endeavors.
