Saint-Zacharie
The village's sixteen fountains, fed by the river Huveaune, offer a delightfully relaxing background murmur. This precious water supply accounted for the Saint-Zacharie's fame and fortune from the 17th to the 19th century, when it was home to many pottery, ceramic tile, roof tile and brick manufacturers.
Its glorious industrial past is still witnessed by many abandoned factories and astonishing sites such as the "Maison du Peuple" and "Cercle du 21 Septembre" working men's clubs.
